About us
Jong Nederland de Fakkel is a youth association for children who like to play, wrestle, laugh, romp and be busy together. Activities are based on one of our spearheads: sports and games, creativity and outdoor life. For the older members, the fourth spearhead is often called 'team building'. Each age group has a fixed moment in the week when the children come together to do fun and enjoyable activities. When you become a member of our association, you will receive an information booklet; this booklet can also be viewed digitally. Jong Nederland de Fakkel is part of the national organization Jong Nederland and has had the dr. ir. FJ Philipshuis in Eindhoven as its home base since 1995.
Our association consists of approximately 75 members, divided over five different age categories. Each member group is supervised by a permanent group of enthusiastic staff members. In total, there are approximately 45 volunteers connected to the association to keep the groups, the activities and the organization itself running.
At Jong Nederland de Fakkel we find social safety for our members and volunteers very important. That is why we ensure that our volunteers have a current VOG (Certificate of Conduct) and that all our volunteers have signed the code of conduct of the national organization Jong Nederland.
